Clay Hand building and Sculpting
New Hand-building and Pottery class for K-5 Students | Sundays 2-4 PM
Description:
This hands-on ceramics class is designed to be fun, engaging, and
skill-building, with an emphasis on ongoing learning and creative growth.
Students receive individualized instruction while exploring a variety of
ceramic techniques, including wheel throwing, hand-building, decorative
surface design, and 2D relief projects.
From shaping and constructing to glazing and kiln preparation, students
experience the full ceramic process. Through creative, guided projects overtime, students build confidence, develop strong foundational skills, and deepen their understanding of clay as an artistic medium in a supportive studio environment.
All currently enrolled US Arts students may receive 10% off when adding this class to their existing package.
Students will learn to:
Roll some clay, and coil it to create a pot, a figure, or a mug!
Knead with your hands and arms to create very unique clay projects and learn how to add decorative pieces and markings.
Create more sophisticated pots or contemporary statues.
Who its for
These classes are designed for students K-5th grade, who like to work with their hands and are interested in exploring 3 dimensional art form.
Class Schedule: Sundays 2-4 PM, beginning January 18th, 2026
Price: $605 + materials and firing fee $110. You are charged for 11 lessons and you can schedule up to 12 lessons.
